We are seeking a devoted and experienced Early Childhood Teacher to join our vibrant community at Long Island Hebrew Academy. As a Yeshiva day school, we pride ourselves in providing a nurturing environment where students can grow and develop their love for Judaism and education.
Job Summary:
As an Early Childhood Teacher at Long Island Hebrew Academy, you will be responsible for designing and implementing engaging lesson plans. You will create a stimulating and supportive learning environment that fosters a love for learning, Judaism, and each other. Your primary responsibilities will include:
Planning and teaching engaging and interactive lessons to students
Developing and implementing curriculum that aligns with our school's values and standards
Maintaining a safe and organized classroom environment
Building positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
Collaborating with colleagues to share best practices and enhance the learning experience
Plan and implement developmentally appropriate lessons
Integrate Limudei Kodesh and General Studies in meaningful ways
Teach Parsha, Tefillah, Hebrew readiness, and Chagim in engaging formats
Develop early literacy (letters, phonemic awareness, pre-reading skills)
Introduce early math concepts (counting, patterns, number sense)
Use hands-on, play-based learning centers
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
Passion for working with young children and their families
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
