We're looking for a friendly, organized, and customer-focused Customer Service Representative to join our growing Farmers Insurance agency. As a Customer Service Representative, you'll be the first point of contact for many of our clients, helping them with policy changes, billing questions, claims assistance, and coverage reviews while delivering exceptional customer service. You'll work alongside a high-performing sales team in a supportive, fast-paced environment with ongoing training and opportunities for career advancement.


What You'll Do

Assist clients with policy changes, billing inquiries, payments, and account updates.

Answer incoming phone calls, emails, and text messages professionally and efficiently.

Help customers understand their insurance coverages and policy options.

Process endorsements, renewals, cancellations, and reinstatements.

Assist clients with claims questions and guide them through the claims process.

Schedule policy reviews and identify opportunities to improve customer coverage.

Support the sales team with administrative tasks and client follow-up.

Maintain accurate customer records in the agency management system.

Deliver an outstanding customer experience on every interaction.

Responsibilities

Greet clients in person, over the phone, and via email with professionalism and a positive attitude.

Answer incoming calls and assist customers with policy questions, billing inquiries, payments, and general account needs.

Process policy changes, endorsements, renewals, cancellations, reinstatements, and other service requests accurately and efficiently.

Assist clients with the claims process by providing guidance and connecting them with the appropriate claims resources.

Review customer accounts to ensure policies remain accurate and up to date.

Identify opportunities to cross-sell or refer customers to licensed sales agents for additional insurance products.

Schedule policy review appointments for producers and licensed agents.

Maintain accurate customer records and document all client interactions in the agency management system.

Follow up on outstanding customer requests to ensure timely resolution.

Assist with office administrative duties, including filing, scanning, and processing documents.

Build strong relationships by delivering exceptional customer service during every interaction.

Collaborate with the sales team to ensure a seamless customer experience.

Stay current on company products, underwriting guidelines, and agency procedures through ongoing training.

Help maintain a clean, organized, and professional office environment.

Represent the agency with integrity, professionalism, and a customer-first attitude.


Requirements


Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Previous customer service, administrative, retail, banking, hospitality, or insurance experience preferred but not required.

Property & Casualty insurance license preferred, or willingness to obtain after hire.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Strong interpersonal skills with a friendly, professional, and customer-focused attitude.

Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.

Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.

Comfortable using computers and learning new software, including agency management and CRM systems.

Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve customer concerns professionally.

Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.

Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and grow within the agency.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive customer information responsibly.

Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel) or similar software.

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Must be able to pass any required background checks and meet insurance licensing requirements, if applicable.
