Little Volunteer Child Care – Belltown is excited to open the doors to our beautiful, state-of-the-art child care center in the growing Belltown community! We are currently seeking enthusiastic, dependable, and engaging School-Age Educators to become part of our founding team.
This is a unique opportunity to help create a fun, safe, and enriching environment where school-age children can continue learning, exploring, and building friendships before and after school, as well as during school breaks and summer programming.

Position Summary
School-Age Educators provide a safe, engaging, and supportive environment for children in kindergarten through elementary school. Educators plan enriching activities that encourage creativity, teamwork, leadership, and independent thinking while supporting children's academic success, social-emotional development, and overall well-being.

What You'll Do
Responsibilities
- Supervise and engage school-age children during before-school, after-school, holiday, and summer programs.
- Plan and lead a variety of educational, recreational, STEM, arts, fitness, and enrichment activities.
- Provide homework support and encourage positive study habits.
- Promote teamwork, leadership, and social responsibility through group activities and projects.
- Guide children's behavior using positive discipline and restorative practices.
- Ensure children's safety during indoor play, outdoor activities, and field trips.
- Maintain accurate attendance and daily documentation through Brightwheel.
- Communicate effectively with families regarding children's participation and progress.
- Follow all Tennessee Department of Human Services licensing regulations and center policies.
- Collaborate with fellow educators and leadership to provide a high-quality school-age program.
Requirements
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with school-age children in a licensed child care program, school, camp, or youth organization (preferred but not required).
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- CDA, TECTA, college coursework in Education, Child Development, Recreation, or a related field is preferred.
- CPR/First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Ability to pass all required state background checks.
- Must meet Tennessee Department of Human Services licensing requirements.
