Job Description
This position is responsible for communication surrounding orders, quotes, deliveries and inquiries of those products manufactured or distributed through the company. A complete understanding of our product line offering is required.
This position requires a high degree of organization, strong follow-up skills, accurate and timely customer responsiveness, a service orientation and quick decision-making skills. Staying on top of multiple tasks is expected. Clear communication is needed. You must have an understanding of the shop capacities manufacturing and purchasing lead-times.
Qualifications:
- Customer Service Experience
- Strong Microsoft Office Skills
- Strong Math Skills
- The ability to read prints and interpret drawings and applying customer needs and expectations to the details on the drawings & prints.
- Organization skills, solid recording keeping and follow-up skills
- Conflict resolution skills
- Solid, honest, and open communication skills
- Capability to multi-task while maintaining composure is very important
- Ability to work with others and to influence without authority
- Analytical & reasoning skills are very important
- The need to quickly analyze and be decisive, while interpreting the needs of the customer
Education & Experience:
- Sales & Customer Service Experience
- Experience working with Oracle and JDE software beneficial, or similar Manufacturing/Distribution software experience
- A 4-year college/ or 2-year technical degree desired
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Manage the Sales effort(s)
- Handle calls from customers
- Manage Sales Orders via ORACLE and JDE ERP EDI system
- Initiating Credit Requests
- Help to resolve customer service issues
- Help to investigate and respond to product quality questions and issues
- Develop stocking programs
- Maximize on-time delivery performance and customer satisfaction
- Manage projects as needed to improve the profitability of the company
Physical Demand:
- Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.
- Able to stand, walk, lift and reach for a full 8-hour day.
- Periodical travel required
Work Environment:
- Noise is commonplace in the manufacturing environment, ear protection should be worn 100% of the time when in the manufacturing areas.
- Safety glasses are to be worn 100% of the time when in the manufacturing areas.
- Dirt, dust and grease will be present.
- Machines have pinch points, fast moving parts and protruding parts, which present themselves as a potential injury. All associates must be aware of these dangers and follow required PPE when in areas requiring these.
