Director of Nursing Services (DON)
As a Director of Nursing Services (DON) at Lamar Estates, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional leadership and guidance to our dedicated nursing staff at our Assisted Living Facilities in Lamar, Colorado. This key position will oversee the delivery of high-quality patient care, ensuring that our residents receive the best possible experience.
Responsibilities:
• Provide strategic direction and leadership to the nursing department, with a focus on improving patient outcomes, increasing resident satisfaction, and enhancing the overall quality of care
• Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards
• Foster a culture of open communication, collaboration, and respect among nursing staff, residents, and other healthcare professionals
• Recruit, train, and develop a talented team of nurses, with a focus on continuous improvement and growth
• Conduct regular assessments of patient care, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions when necessary
• Collaborate with other departments, such as activities, dietary, and maintenance, to ensure a comprehensive and cohesive approach to resident care
• Develop and manage budgets, ensuring effective use of resources and achieving desired outcomes
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, including Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) programs
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in nursing leadership or management
• Current RN license in the state of Colorado
• Proven track record of success in nursing leadership and quality improvement initiatives
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
