Job Title: Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN)Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) to provide comprehensive perioperative nursing care before, during, and after surgical procedures. The OR RN will assist surgeons and anesthesia providers, coordinate surgical activities, maintain a sterile environment, ensure patient safety, and collaborate with the surgical team to deliver high-quality patient care throughout the perioperative process.

Requirements:
  • Associate Degree in Nursing or equivalent required

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice

  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification

  • One year of Operating Room nursing experience preferred

  • CNOR certification preferred

  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification preferred

  • Strong knowledge of perioperative nursing, sterile technique, surgical procedures, and patient safety

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative nursing care for surgical patients.

  • Circulate during surgical procedures while maintaining a safe and sterile operating room environment.

  • Prepare patients for surgery, including assessment, positioning, and verification of surgical documentation.

  • Assist surgeons, anesthesia providers, and the surgical team during operative procedures.

  • Ensure compliance with aseptic technique, infection prevention, and patient safety standards.

  • Operate and monitor surgical equipment and ensure necessary instruments and supplies are available.

  • Safely handle and dispose of biohazardous materials according to organizational policies.

  • Document patient care, surgical procedures, and required clinical information accurately.

  • Monitor patient status throughout the perioperative process and respond appropriately to changes in condition.

  • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to promote optimal patient outcomes.

  • Participate in quality improvement, inventory management, and operating room readiness activities.

  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
