Principal Production Chemist

. Plans, conducts and performs a variety of chemical productions and process developments under general supervision.
· Utilizes or adapts new methods under guided supervision for updating existing synthesis procedures in order to improve yields, reduce production time and waste.

· Keeps abreast of most recent technological developments pertaining to new products and applying to new products R/D under guided supervision

· Troubleshoots and resolves standard production problems with full understanding of chemistries and analytical tools for progress of reactions

· May supervise activities of lower chemists ensuring guided procedures or scale-ups in effective and safe manner

· Attends technical meetings, conferences, seminars and reads current literature to keep up with up to date scientific knowledge.

· Responsible for maintaining a clear and detailed lab book.

· Responsible for maintaining neat, clean and safe work area.

· Performs other duties of similar complexity as directed.

· Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions

· Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills

· Ability to manage priorities and workflow

· Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams and committees

· Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines

· Strong interpersonal skills

· Strong understanding of chemistry
· Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry with 10-15 years experience or

· Master’s degree in Chemistry with 5-10 year of experience or

· PhD in Chemistry with 5-7 years of experience.
