CELECTS Education is seeking a compassionate, creative, and dependable Private School Teacher to join our team in Florence, SC. Our small, supportive school environment allows teachers to focus on building relationships with students, adapting instruction to individual learning needs, and creating a classroom where children feel successful and excited to learn.
We are looking for someone who enjoys thinking outside the box, can make learning fun, and understands that every child learns differently. You'll work closely with our team to provide academic instruction while helping students develop independence, confidence, social skills, and a love of learning.
Teaching certification is preferred but not required. Candidates with experience in education, childcare, special education, behavioral health, or working with children with diverse learning needs are encouraged to apply.
What You'll Do
- Provide engaging academic instruction to students in a small private-school setting.
- Plan and implement lessons in core academic areas based on students' ages, abilities, and educational needs.
- Adapt lessons and teaching strategies to accommodate different learning styles and skill levels.
- Create hands-on, interactive learning experiences that keep students engaged and motivated.
- Provide individual and small-group instruction as needed.
- Monitor student progress and adjust instruction based on each student's performance.
- Establish clear classroom expectations, routines, and positive behavior supports.
- Encourage independence, problem-solving, communication, and appropriate social skills throughout the school day.
- Create and maintain a positive, organized, and welcoming classroom environment.
- Communicate professionally with parents and caregivers regarding student progress, needs, and accomplishments.
- Collaborate with other teachers, administrators, and members of the student's support team.
- Maintain accurate educational records and complete required documentation.
- Participate in staff meetings, training, school activities, and professional development.
- Maintain student confidentiality and follow all school policies and procedures.
- Help create a school environment where students feel safe, supported, and excited to learn.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
- Experience working with children in a school, childcare, tutoring, camp, behavioral health, or similar setting preferred.
- Teaching certification is preferred but not required.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to plan, organize, and deliver age-appropriate educational activities.
- Patient, dependable, flexible, and comfortable adapting to individual student needs.
- Ability to establish positive relationships with students while maintaining clear and consistent expectations.
- Comfortable working with children with a variety of learning styles, abilities, and support needs.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Comfortable using technology for lesson planning, communication, and documentation.
- Must be able to pass all required background screenings.

- Current or previous teaching certification
