About This Role

We are seeking a nurturing, dependable, and engaging Infant Lead Teacher to join our early care and education team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in the foundational growth of our youngest learners, provide a safe, responsive, and developmentally appropriate environment for infants where they can thrive.



What You'll Do

  • Primary Care: Provide responsive care including feeding, diapering, and soothing to ensure every child’s physical and emotional needs are met.
  • Curriculum Implementation: Design and lead age-appropriate activities—such as sensory play, music, and tummy time—to support motor and cognitive development.
  • Safe Environment: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom that meets all state licensing regulations and sanitation standards.
  • Communication: Build strong relationships with parents through daily reports, photos, and face-to-face updates regarding their child’s milestones and routines.
  • Observation: Track and document developmental progress.


Requirements

  • Knowledge of child growth development and appropriate practices
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED (required); CDA or Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education (preferred).
  • Experience: At least 3 years of experience working with infants in a licensed child care or center-based setting.
  • Certifications: Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain within 90 days).
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 40 pounds, sit on the floor, and remain active throughout the day.
  • Compliance: Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and meet all state-mandated health requirements.
  • Availability: Must be available to work Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week.
  • Transportation: Must have reliable transportation and be able to report in inclement weather


Nice To Haves

  • In-depth knowledge of State Licensing Regulations.
  • Experience with play-based curriculum models.
  • Bilingual skills (English/Spanish).
  • A "Team Player" attitude with a passion for early childhood advocacy.
