A leading international machine manufacturer, that builds and remanufactures roll grinders, lathes, mills and many other large machine tools, is seeking to employ:
Roll Grinder Software Commissioning Technician
The position involves startup, commissioning and service of Roll Grinding machines in the steel, aluminum and paper industry.
Technical Responsibilities:
- Oversee the installation of roll grinding machines and ensure they are set up according to manufacturer specifications and industry standards.
- Conduct test runs and performance evaluations to ensure the machines meet required precision and output levels.
- Train operators and maintenance staff on the proper use and upkeep of roll grinding machines.
- Analyze grinding processes and recommend improvements to enhance productivity and product quality.
- Provide technical support to customers, addressing their concerns and resolving issues promptly.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance machine capabilities and operational efficiency.
Skills Required:
- Familiarity with motion control software, PLC’s and HMIs.
- Knowledge of servo motors and drives
- Knowledge of mechanical systems, components, and principles.
- Understanding of electrical systems, components, and wiring diagrams.
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and software problems.
