Responsibilities Overview:
As a Floor Technician, you’ll be responsible for maintaining the appearance and cleanliness of all hard surface floors and carpets throughout our Assisted Living and Memory Care community. Through routine floor care, preventative maintenance, and attention to detail, you’ll help ensure our residents, families, and visitors experience a clean, safe, and inviting environment every day.
What You'll Do:
Perform routine floor care, including stripping, waxing, buffing, burnishing, scrubbing, and refinishing hard surface floors.
Clean and maintain carpeted areas through vacuuming, spot cleaning, shampooing, and extraction as needed.
Operate and maintain floor care equipment, including auto scrubbers, buffers, and carpet extractors.
Follow established floor care schedules and complete preventative maintenance to preserve flooring throughout the community.
Assist with emergencies, spills, laundry and pet cleanup.
Ensure all work is performed in accordance with infection prevention practices and OSHA safety standards.
Perform courteous and professional service while interacting with residents, families, visitors, and team members.

Position Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous experience in commercial floor care, environmental services, or housekeeping preferred.
Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills are required.
Ability to safely handle cleaning chemicals and equipment.
Ability to stand, walk, bend kneel, climb, push, pull, and lift up to 75 pounds.
