At Zero Hour Parts, dependable quality is our promise. We’re seeking a Precision QC Inspector to safeguard that promise from development through manufacturing by verifying parts, analyzing results, and helping us keep production both efficient and cost-effective.

In this role, you will
  • Inspect, test, and measure finished parts against customer designs and internal standards.
  • Operate a CMM and perform dimensional checks with calipers, gauges, and micrometers.
  • Read blueprints and apply GD&T to plan and execute inspections.
  • Record measurements, analyze data, and prepare reports for the Lead Quality Inspector, Cell Leaders, and Manufacturing Manager.
  • Conduct first article inspections; ensure all required paperwork accompanies the packaged part.
  • Sign Certificates of Conformance and disposition nonconforming product.
  • Issue and track shop tools; maintain accurate inventory.
  • Monitor trends that influence production efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Keep current with quality and accreditation standards, industry literature, and agency requirements.
  • Follow the Zero Hour Parts quality management system and take on other duties as assigned.
What sets you up for success
  • High school diploma or GED; Associate degree preferred.
  • ASQ certification is a plus; metallurgy lab experience preferred.
  • Hands-on proficiency with gauges, calipers, micrometers, and CMM equipment.
  • Thorough grasp of quality processes, statistics, measurement/test equipment, and FMEA; meticulous work style.
  • Familiarity with materials such as steel, aluminum, stainless, plastics, titanium, copper, and brass; cross-industry exposure (aerospace, automotive, medical device) a plus.
  • Detail-driven mindset with strong data aptitude; solid math, reading comprehension, and active listening.
  • Team-oriented self-starter with sound judgment who can also work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Strong work ethic, reliable attendance, and adaptability in a fast-paced, high-volume, and challenging environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook; software skills tied to your area are desirable.
