About This Role

We are looking for a dependable, organized, and caring Kitchen Cook to join our BPK team!


This position is responsible for preparing and serving breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snacks for our children each day while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe kitchen.


Responsibilities include:

  • Preparing breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snacks
  • Following menus and appropriate food portions
  • Maintaining accurate information regarding children's food allergies and dietary restrictions
  • Receiving, organizing, and putting away grocery deliveries
  • Keeping track of food and kitchen inventory
  • Preparing grocery and supply shopping lists
  • Keeping the kitchen, food-preparation areas, and equipment clean and sanitized
  • Properly storing, labeling, and rotating food
  • Working closely with teachers and administration regarding meal counts and children's dietary needs
  • Following all health, sanitation, and child care food-service requirements

We are looking for someone who is reliable, self-motivated, organized, clean, and comfortable preparing meals for groups of young children. Experience in food service, school/daycare kitchens, or meal preparation is a plus.


Monday–Friday | Daytime Hours | No Weekends

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED

Knowledge and experience in the kitchen
