Position Details:
Job Title: After School Inclusion/Support Staff (K-5 Special Educator).
Location: Cabot Elementary School, 229 Cabot Street, Newtonville, MA.

Hours:
  • Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 2:15 PM – 6:00 PM (+ half-hour team meeting).
  • Wednesday: 10:30 AM – 6:00 PM (staff meeting 10:30–11:30, kids arrive at 12:20).
  • Additional early release days (11:30am-6 PM): 9/29, 10/27, 12/3, 2/4, 3/18, 5/6.
  • Monthly evening staff meetings (6:00 PM – 7:30 PM).
  • School Starts: September 2, 2026 (Before Labor Day).
  • Orientation: August 26, 27, 31 & September 1.

Who We’re Looking For:
  • Professionals with a background in special education or inclusion.
  • Caring, motivated, and reliable individuals who enjoy working with children aged 5-11.
  • Special educators, classroom aides, college or graduate students, caregivers—all are welcome to apply!
  • Prior experience in school, camp, or therapeutic settings preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.

Your Role and Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized support to students with physical, behavioral, social, or medical needs.
  • Foster social-emotional growth and engagement.
  • Assist in creating strategies or adapting curriculum to support student success.
  • Communicate progress regularly with parents and caregivers.
