As a Dietary Cook, you will:
Prepare and cook nutritious, appetizing meals in accordance with physician-ordered diets, therapeutic menus, and standardized recipes
Ensure meals are prepared and served on schedule while maintaining the highest quality standards
Follow all food safety, sanitation, and infection control procedures
Properly store, label, and rotate food items to maintain freshness and compliance
Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen, food preparation areas, and equipment
Work collaboratively with the Dietary Manager and team members to provide an exceptional dining experience for residents
Assist with inventory management and notify leadership when supplies need replenishing
Comply with all federal, state, local, and facility dietary regulations
High school diploma or GED preferred
Current ServSafe Food Handler or Food Protection certification (or ability to obtain as required)
Previous experience in a healthcare, long-term care, or commercial kitchen preferred
Must be at least 18 years of age
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Excellent teamwork, communication, and organizational skills
Compassionate attitude with a commitment to providing outstanding service to residents
