Dietary Aide

The Gardens of Statesville is seeking a dependable and compassionate team member to support daily meal service and nutrition-related tasks in a fast-paced care setting. This role helps ensure meals are prepared, served, and delivered with care, while maintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety, and resident satisfaction. The Gardens of Statesville is an independent living, assisted living and memory care community.

• Assist with meal preparation, plating, and service according to established procedures.
• Deliver meals and snacks to residents or clients in a timely and courteous manner.
• Set up dining areas and ensure trays, utensils, and serving supplies are ready for service.
• Support dietary staff with cleaning, sanitation, and organization of the kitchen and dining areas.
• Follow food safety, infection control, and sanitation guidelines at all times.
• Accurately label, store, and handle food and supplies according to facility standards.
• Communicate special meal needs, preferences, and concerns to the appropriate team members.
• Assist with dishwashing, trash removal, and general cleanup after meals.
• Provide courteous and respectful service to residents, guests, and coworkers.

• Previous experience in food service, healthcare dining, or a similar environment is preferred.
• Ability to follow directions, procedures, and safety guidelines with attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift light to moderate items throughout the shift.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic understanding of food handling and sanitation practices is an asset.
