POSITION DESCRIPTION

The Receiving, Inventory and Shipping Coordinator assists in the transportation cycle of outbound and third-party shipments and distributes internal and external mail, UPS, Federal Express courier and LTL shipments. The RSC is responsible for ensuring supplies, stock, materials, packages, and/or products are processed through the various delivery services efficiently and safely. This position assists in ensuring that the organization adheres to all shipping and distribution laws and regulations. Helps coordinate the resupply of office materials for the company and is a support to our Team Member Experience team.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma (or GED); Associate degree preferred.
  • Three years customer service experience in a service-related industry.
  • Two to three years of experience in logistics of shipping.
  • Strong Computer skills including with MS Windows, MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Strong working knowledge of mail machines, UPS computer and Federal Express software.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to interact with others in a team situation.
  • Ability to analyze, problem solve and recognize process improvement opportunities.
  • Ability to do occasional heavy lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to understand both internal and external client needs and how these needs relate to overall customer satisfaction.
  • Ability to listen, understand and respond to external and internal customers’ needs in a timely manner; customer service experience in a service-related industry preferred.
  • Ability to work the time necessary to complete projects and/or meet deadlines.
