DescriptionOverview:We are seeking a qualified Class-A CDL Driver to support the testing and validation of autonomous commercial trucks in safety‑critical, real-world scenarios. This role is responsible for operating test vehicles during structured test activities that evaluate autonomous system performance, serving as a key safety operator when the system is evaluated in real‑world driving scenarios.The ideal candidate is a professional commercial driver with strong situational awareness, a safety‑first mindset, and the ability to follow detailed test procedures. This position works closely with engineering and test teams to execute planned test routes, support safety scenarios, and monitor and provide feedback on vehicle behavior during testing.Core Responsibilities:Safely operate Class‑A commercial trucks during autonomous system testingExecute predefined test routes and safety‑related driving scenariosMaintain constant situational awareness and intervene when required to ensure safetyFollow detailed test procedures, operational instructions and safety protocolsCollaborate with engineers, safety operators, and test leads during on‑road testingProvide clear verbal and written feedback on vehicle behavior and observed issuesMaintain professionalism and compliance in complex traffic and testing environmentsMaintain flexibility in work hours to support testing needs, including early or late shifts when required. Willingness to travel and support on-road testing in other locations as required by program needsQualificationsBasic Qualifications:Valid Class‑A CDL with a clean driving recordProfessional experience operating Class-A commercial vehicles for 3 yearsCompletion of professional commercial driver training that covers comprehensive truck operation knowledge beyond minimum CDL licensing requirementsStrong attention to detail and disciplined driving habitsAbility to follow structured procedures and safety guidelinesComfortable working in a testing and development environmentFlexibility to support changing test schedules and routesStrong communication skills to effectively work with cross-functional teamsAbility to comply with company confidentiality requirements, including signing a Non‑Disclosure Agreement (NDA)Preferred Qualifications:Experience supporting vehicle testing or development programsFamiliarity with advanced driver assistance systems or autonomous technologies
