Job Description

Job Description
Build What Battles Winter

At Arctic Snow and Ice, we craft equipment that thrives in the harshest conditions. As our Industrial Tooling & Manufacturing Systems Engineer, you’ll architect the workflows, fixtures, and weld processes that turn ideas into rugged, reliable products—efficiently and at scale.

Your Mission

Elevate production by designing world-class processes, implementing the right equipment, and proving capability with data. You’ll be the connective tissue across R&D, Quality, Production, and external operations to ensure every part meets spec, every time.

Impact Areas
  1. Process Architecture: Engineer and launch manufacturing processes and equipment for cost-effective, high-quality output. Program plasma, laser, and press brake equipment to deliver exacting tolerances.
  2. Tooling & Fixturing: Design fixtures and tooling in SolidWorks to drive repeatability, ergonomics, and safety.
  3. Welding Excellence: Own manual MIG and robotic welding—design, implement, and optimize. Develop and maintain WPS and PQRs; ensure adherence to AWS/ASME.
  4. Reliability & Quality: Lead root-cause analysis for weld defects and equipment failures; implement durable corrective and preventive actions. Oversee quality for inbound materials and outbound products.
  5. Continuous Improvement: Conduct time-and-motion studies, identify cost reductions, and streamline flow without compromising quality.
  6. Project Leadership: Define scope, initiate, and manage all project phases; collaborate with Project Managers for resource planning and progress tracking. Deliver clear documentation, including parts organization and product manuals for new process/equipment introductions.
  7. Capability Building: Train production and maintenance teams; partner with Quality and outside operations to meet specifications.
