Senior Network Administrator

OverviewJoin a mission-critical IT team supporting Navy enterprise operations. In this role, you will install, configure, and manage complex network and virtual server infrastructure, ensuring performance, availability, and cybersecurity compliance across fleet engineering and modernization systems.ResponsibilitiesInstall, configure, and maintain enterprise servers, network systems, and virtual environmentsMonitor and maintain system health, ensuring high availability and minimal downtimeApply critical software updates, security patches, and antivirus measures to all managed systemsManage user accounts, roles, and permissions within Active Directory and associated systemsOversee data backup procedures and perform disaster recovery testingImplement and verify compliance with DoD cybersecurity policies and STIG requirementsCollaborate with cybersecurity teams to ensure RMF accreditation and secure network configurationsSupport IT integration efforts for engineering and logistics systems used in Navy fleet operationsTroubleshoot and resolve complex system issues, escalating as needed to Tier III support or engineering teamsMaintain detailed system documentation, including network diagrams, configuration guides, and change logsQualificationsActive Security Clearance or ability to possessCompTIA Security+ or higher certification strongly preferredBachelor's degree in any disciplineMinimum 10 years of experience in system/network administration in a DoD environmentDemonstrated expertise in:Windows/Linux server administration, Active Directory (AD), DNS, and DHCPVirtualization platforms such as VMware and Hyper-V; experience in Azure hybrid cloud environmentsCybersecurity frameworks including RMF, patch management, and STIG compliance
