About This Role
K-City is a faith-based preschool and childcare center. Our staff should have patience, show kindness and love toward the children, and emit joy while working with the children's families and staff.
We are a Step Up to Quality Gold-rated center. We use Creative Curriculum and base our lesson plans on individual children's interests, developmental, and educational needs.
We are hiring a lead staff member and a support staff member for our 12-24 month classroom.
These individuals need to be flexible and able to transition between Waddlers, Infants, and Toddlers.
What You'll Do
Key responsibilities will be:
Maintaining active supervision
Implementing curriculum and as a lead teacher, creating lesson plans
Ensure that children's needs are met
Maintain frequent communications with parents, staff, and administration
Encourage self-help skills and healthy habits by behavior modeling
Maintain a professional and kind demeanor when interacting with children, families, and staff.
Light-duty room cleaning and the close-down of classrooms.
Follow all center policies, state regulations, and Step Up To Quality regulations.
Maintain documentation and enter information into our Brightwheel app by using the tablet in the classroom, ensuring accurate records, forms, attendance, and files are kept up to date.
Requirements
High school diploma/transcript
Must be able to pass/clear background checks
Pass health check
Maintain 10 hours of professional development
Be on time as scheduled
Nice To Haves
CDA in early childhood development
Associates' or Bachelor's degree
