Preschool Lead Teacher (Early Childhood / Child Care)

Bush Hill Day School seeks a dependable and nurturing Lead Teacher to join our close-knit team, providing a supportive environment where educators can thrive. Our learn-through-play preschool program caters to children aged 2-5, with a focus on hands-on learning, social-emotional development, and inclusivity. As a Lead Teacher, you'll be part of a collaborative environment that values professionalism, creativity, and a passion for teaching young children.

This part-time position offers flexible scheduling, with the option to work 3 or 5 days a week, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Availability to work until 2:00 PM on select days is preferred. With our emphasis on creating a positive and well-managed classroom environment, we're looking for an educator who can work closely with an Assistant Teacher to foster a culture of mutual respect and open communication.

• Implement and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs and interests of our students.
• Establish a warm and welcoming classroom atmosphere, where children feel safe, supported, and excited to learn.
• Collaborate with staff, parents, and the Assistant Teacher to develop and implement strategies that promote each child's growth and well-being.
• Maintain open and effective communication with families through regular updates, ensuring they stay informed and connected to their child's progress.
• Develop and manage a flexible yet structured classroom routine that supports the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development of our students.
• Adhere to all program guidelines, ensuring a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
