DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESEquipment Installation, Service & RepairConduct residential and commercial installations, preventative maintenance, service calls and repairs of durable medical equipment and home accessibility equipment including wheelchairs, power wheelchairs, scooters, hospital beds, therapeutic support surfaces, seat lift chairs, patient lifts, standers, ramps, stairlifts, vertical platform lifts (VPLs), ceiling track systems, residential elevators, railings, and other equipment and products offered by Westside Medical Supply.Evaluate equipment and installation needs and develop appropriate plans of action to resolve any issues efficiently and effectively.Ensure all installations are completed according to manufacturer specifications, company standards, and applicable safety requirements.Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and identify appropriate repair solutions.Prepare estimates and communicate repair recommendations, parts requirements, and labor needs to both customers and Coordinator team.Submit documentation required for insurance approvals, warranties, repair authorizations, and reimbursement requests to Coordinator team.Job/Project Coordination & DocumentationCoordinate with Technician Manager who will schedule appointments, installations, repairs, follow-up visits, and project completion activities.Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, service activities, repairs, installations, parts used, and customer interactions.Communicate professionally & effectively with customers, caregivers, referral sources, and internal staff.Provide excellent customer service while representing the Company in customers' homes, facilities, and communities.Vehicle, Inventory & Operational SupportMaintain clean, organized, and properly stocked company vehicles.Monitor vehicle condition and report maintenance needs promptly.Maintain organized workspaces, service areas, inventory, tools, and equipment.Assist with inventory management, equipment preparation, warehouse functions, and miscellaneous operational tasks during downtime.Facility & Property MaintenanceAssist with facility maintenance projects, building repairs, grounds maintenance, and seasonal property upkeep as assigned.Participate in snow removal, lawn maintenance, landscaping, and other property maintenance responsibilities when needed.Safety, Compliance & Team CollaborationFollow all company safety procedures, vehicle policies, equipment handling requirements, and operational guidelines.Work collaboratively with other technicians to resolve installation, repair, and service-related issues.Maintain compliance with company policies, HIPAA requirements, manufacturer guidelines, and accreditation standards.Attend department and company meetings as requested.Cross-Training Responsibilities & Professional DevelopmentCreate, maintain, and update written procedures, guides, and reference materials related to assigned job duties.Document key daily, weekly, monthly, and periodic responsibilities to support cross-training, operational consistency, and business continuity.Ensure documentation remains accurate and is updated when processes, systems, or responsibilities change.Participate in cross-training, onboarding, and knowledge-sharing activities as requested.Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to improve procedures, workflows, and documentation.All Technicians will be cross-trained and expected to work within all related areas.Maintain knowledge of products, equipment, installation techniques, and industry best practices.Learn and carry out any additional tasks or designated job duties as assigned.POSITION REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONSEducation & ExperienceRequired Education: High School diploma or equivalent.Required Experience: Experience using hand tools, power tools, and installation equipment a must.Preferred Experience: Construction, remodeling, maintenance, electrical work, carpentry, mechanical repair, or related technical fields.Technical Knowledge & SkillsStrong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities.Ability to read and follow instructions, diagrams, specifications, and technical documentation.Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, ladders, and installation equipment.Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.Ability to safely operate company vehicles.Willingness to learn new products, equipment, technologies, and service disciplines.Core CompetenciesCustomer Focus: Strong customer service skills with the ability to
