Weekend Requirement: Every Other Weekend Required

Position Summary

Riverside Nursing Home is seeking a dependable and compassionate Full-Time Housekeeper to join our team. As an 80-bed skilled nursing facility, we take pride in providing a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for our residents, staff, and visitors.

The Housekeeper plays a vital role in infection control, resident satisfaction, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere throughout the facility.

No experience? No problem — we are willing to train the right candidate!

Essential Job Duties

• Clean and sanitize resident rooms, bathrooms, and common areas
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and disinfect floors and surfaces
• Empty trash and replace liners throughout the facility
• Clean dining areas, offices, lobby, and staff areas
• Follow infection control and safety procedures
• Report maintenance or safety concerns promptly
• Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies
• Work respectfully and professionally around elderly residents

Qualifications

• Ability to lift, bend, stoop, push, and pull throughout the shift
• Ability to lift up to 30–50 pounds as needed
• Reliable transportation required (facility is not on a bus line)
• Must be able to work 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• Must be available to work every other weekend
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Ability to work well with elderly residents and as part of a team

Experience

• Housekeeping experience preferred but not required
• We provide on-the-job training

Physical Requirements

• Frequent standing and walking
• Repetitive bending and reaching
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely
• Ability to work in a healthcare environment
