QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma (or equivalent);Three to five months maintenance experience (or related) or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this positionMeets the necessary health and physical qualifications; andMaintains current Tennessee driver's ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Oversee painting job through the districtMake sure staff is completing all jobs necessaryEnsure proper OSHA safety requirements are being upheld/followed by all Report any issues or concerns to Maintenance ManagerEnsure completion in a timely mannerApply paint to surfaces, walls, floors, doors, and Mix, match, and apply paint, varnish, shellac, enamel, and otherScrape, sandpaper, prime, or seal surfaces prior to Clean walls to ensure properCover surfaces with cloth or plastic to ensure Calculate amounts of required materials and estimateFill cracks, holes, and joints with caulk, putty, plaster, or other fillers, using caulking guns or putty knives.Erect scaffolding, movable and immovable staging and various rigging to gain access to difficult areas; moves furniture and equipment as necessary.Remove fixtures such as pictures, doorknobs, lamps, and electric switch covers prior to painting.Select and order paint from Apply several coats according to paint Tape off areas when Apply touchups or second Remove paint splatters when Clean up all equipment, including brushes and spray Utilize spray guns for large Work on ladders to reach high ceilings or Participates in meetings, workshops, training, and seminars for the purpose of conveying and/or gathering information required to perform job functions.Performs other related duties as
