Pay: $105/hour – Local Rate
Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday
Hours: 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
Position Type: Contract
We are seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join a collaborative healthcare team in Portage, Wisconsin.
This is an excellent opportunity for an NP looking for a consistent four-day workweek, strong hourly compensation, and clinical autonomy while providing high-quality care to an adult patient population.
No correctional healthcare experience is required!
What You'll DoPerform comprehensive patient assessments and medical evaluations
Diagnose and treat acute and chronic medical conditions
Manage chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, asthma, and other ongoing illnesses
Order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic testing
Prescribe medications and treatments
Conduct intake screenings and follow-up appointments
Provide patient education and preventive healthcare
Respond appropriately to urgent medical situations
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, behavioral health professionals, and other healthcare team members
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
Support continuity of care and treatment planning
Minimum 2 years of experience working as a Nurse Practitioner – REQUIRED
Active Wisconsin APNP license
Active Wisconsin RN license
Current DEA license
Current American Heart Association BLS certification
Valid NPI number
Enrolled as a Wisconsin Medicaid provider
Appropriate NP board certification, such as FNP or AGNP
Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Ability to successfully complete required background clearance and drug screening

Tuesday: 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
Wednesday: OFF
Thursday: 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
Friday: 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
The first week of training will take place in Sturtevant, WI.
Compensation$105/hour – Local Rate
