Job Description

Registered Nurse (RN) – Regional Clinical Liaison of Program Development
Company: Regal care
Location: Massachusetts (multi-facility)
Reports To: Chief Operating Officer
Employment Type: Full-Time, Exempt
Position Summary
RegalCare is seeking a Registered Nurse to lead clinical program development and drive strategic growth through partnerships across the continuum of care. This role sits at the intersection of clinical leadership and business development — responsible for designing and implementing clinical programs, evaluating and approving complex referrals, cultivating relationships with hospital systems and post-acute partners, and using data to identify opportunities and track outcomes. The ideal candidate combines strong clinical judgment with a growth mindset and comfort operating in front of external partners.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Program Development
• Design, implement, and evaluate clinical programs across Regalcare facilities to strengthen quality outcomes, differentiate service lines, and support census growth.
• Partner with facility clinical leadership (DONs, MDS coordinators, therapy) to operationalize new programs and ensure consistent execution across sites.
• Stay current on clinical best practices, reimbursement models (PDPM), and regulatory requirements that inform program design.
Complex Referral Review & Approval
• Serve as the clinical decision point for review and approval of complex/high-acuity referrals, assessing clinical appropriateness, staffing capability, and facility fit prior to admission.
• Collaborate with admissions, facility clinical teams, and physicians to resolve clinical questions quickly and support timely admission decisions.
• Balance clinical risk, regulatory exposure, and business needs when making approval determinations.
Clinical Business Development
• Build and maintain relationships with hospital systems, ACOs, physician groups, and other continuum-of-care partners to grow referral volume and strengthen Regalcare’s reputation as a preferred post-acute provider.
• Represent Regalcare’s clinical capabilities to external partners, including case managers and discharge planners, through in-person visits, presentations, and ongoing communication.
• Identify new partnership and program opportunities that align clinical capability with market demand.
Data & Initiative Management
• Collect, track, and analyze clinical and referral data to identify trends, measure program performance, and inform decision-making.
• Translate data insights into actionable recommendations for leadership.
• Own the rollout of clinical and business development initiatives across facilities, ensuring consistent communication, training, and adoption.
Qualifications
• Active Massachusetts RN license required.
• Minimum 3–5 years of clinical experience in skilled nursing, post-acute, or a related care setting; supervisory or program leadership experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of PDPM, MDS, and post-acute referral/admissions processes.
• Demonstrated experience or strong aptitude for external-facing relationship building (hospital liaisons, business development, or case management background a plus).
• Comfortable interpreting data and using it to guide clinical and operational decisions.
• Strong communication and presentation skills; able to represent Regalcare confidently to external partners.
• Ability to travel across Regalcare’s Massachusetts facilities as needed.
What Regalcare Offers
• Opportunity to shape clinical programs and partnerships across a growing multi-facility organization.
• Collaborative leadership team with a people-first culture.
• Competitive salary and benefits package.
