Blossom Healthcare Center is currently seeking a NIGHT RN supervisor. Must have extensive RN management experience.
RN Duties Include:
Responds to emergencies involving the Resident or unit
Communicates with families regarding the Resident's plan of care and any changes in the condition of the Resident.
Receives and communicates information to the staff and keeps Director of Nursing/Assistant Director of Nursing informed of needs and current developments.
Supervises the RN, LPN, and NA trainees during the orientation period and/or delegates this responsibility to the Shift Supervisor or Registered Nurse on the designated shift.
Completes the performance appraisals of RN's and LPN's, collaborating with the Shift Supervisors on appraisals for evening shifts
Conducts nursing (quality) rounds monthly and as needed on all shifts.
Educates staff, oversees the implementation of new policies and procedures and periodically reviews current procedures, working in collaboration with the DON/ADON on Development as needed.
Handle all supervisory duties for the unit.
Establish employee policies and procedures.
Mentor less experienced nurses, offering clinical & career advice.
Establish the standards of care for the unit.
Review Resident records & quality of care.
Monitor overall care & review individual Residents’ cases.
Address questions or complaints brought forward by Residents or their families.
Ensure the department is well-stocked with medical supplies.
Represent the unit's interests with the upper level management.
RN Requirements Include:
Minimum 2 years Long-Term Care Experience.
Minimum 1-year Unit Manager experience.
Must hold valid RN License. (Required)
CPR Certification (Required)
Basic computer skills.
Excellent communication skills.
