Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineering Technician to support our production operations by ensuring optimal performance of manufacturing equipment and processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both electronics and mechanical systems, along with a commitment to continuous improvement in a manufacturing environment. This technician will work with all other departments to help streamline the release of products and ensure that the equipment released meets manufacturing expectations.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot and repair test equipment, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.

  • Perform preventative maintenance on equipment, documenting all maintenance activities.

  • Collaborate with teams to support daily production activities and resolve any technical issues.

  • Assist engineering teams in the release of new products, fixtures, and modifications to existing products.

  • Work closely with quality assurance teams to identify and implement improvements in manufacturing performance and product quality.

  • Apply Kaizen and Lean techniques to streamline processes and reduce waste within operations.

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of automation solutions to enhance production efficiency.

  • Maintain accurate documentation of procedures, processes, and equipment specifications.



Skills/Abilities:

  • Knowledge of preventative maintenance practices and their application in a manufacturing setting.

  • Familiarity with product development processes and collaboration with engineering teams.

  • Demonstrated understanding of Kaizen and Lean manufacturing principles; certification in Lean methodologies is a plus.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Education and Experience:

  • Associate degree in Manufacturing Engineering Technology, Electronics Technology, or a related field; bachelordegree preferred.

  • Proven experience in a manufacturing environment, with a strong understanding of mechanical and electronic systems.

  • Experience with automation technologies and their application in a manufacturing context is highly desirable.

  • Experience working with quality assurance to drive improvements in manufacturing performance.

Physical Requirements (With or without reasonable accommodation):
