Lube Service Technician

Are you an experienced automotive maintenance specialist looking for an exciting new opportunity? We're looking for a lube service technician to perform oil changes, fluid top-offs, tire rotations, light bulb replacements, and inspections at our high-volume shop. You'll build relationships with customers and advise them on essential maintenance needs. Our ideal candidate has some previous auto technician experience and the ability to learn the maintenance requirements of a variety of different automobiles. $38,500 - $42,000 yearly

Responsibilities:

• Drain and refill engine oil, as well as inspect and top off transmission, brake, power steering, and coolant fluids, on customer vehicles
• Oversee shop inventories by tracking the use of oil and parts and placing new orders for supplies as necessary
• Record all service operations, as well as any installations or replacements of parts
• Advise customers on additional recommended services based on mileage and vehicle history
• Make sure all work areas and the shop floor are clean, and that all safety rules are observed

Qualifications:

• Customer service skills are essential for this role
• 1+ years of experience as a lube technician or related automotive experience desired
• This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent (GED)
• Ability to operate vehicle lifts, tools, and other garage equipment safely
• Able to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds
