Direct Caregiver

Overview:

Royal Care Link is looking for compassionate supports (caregivers) for a client in the greater Lansing, MI area.

Job Duties:

• Provide community living support, such as taking clients out into the community to participate in social and recreational activities of their choice.

• Monitor client condition by observing physical and mental condition, intake and output, and exercise.

• Support client by providing housekeeping and laundry services, shopping for food and other household requirements, preparing and serving meals and snacks, running errands.

• Assist client by providing personal services, such as, bathing, dressing, and grooming.

• Help client care for themselves by teaching use of cane or walker (if applicable), special utensils to eat, special techniques and equipment for personal hygiene.

• Help family members care for the patient by teaching appropriate ways to lift, turn, and re-position the client; advising on nutrition, cleanliness, and housekeeping.

• Record client information by making entries in the patient journal; notifying nursing supervisor of changing or unusual conditions.

• Maintaining a safe, secure, and healthy patient environment by following stipulated standards and procedures; maintaining security precautions; following prescribed dietary requirements and nutrition standards

• Protect the home care agency by adhering to professional standards, home care policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Valid driver's licence

• 18+

• Compassionate and caring individuals

• Ability to adhere to professional standards, home care policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements

Job Type: Part-time and Full-time

Compensation: $17.13/hour

Location: Lansing, MI area (in person, no remote work)
