Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Take and deliver residents food orders in a timely manner. Knowing the details of the menu and items within the food that may impact a resident’s diet restrictions

• Pour and serve beverages for residents, ensure hospitality bar is stocked and has fresh beverages.

• Follow kitchen and dining room cleaning schedules.

• Keep environment safe and clean.

• Observe residents for safety and report all changes in resident condition effectively, accurately, and in a timely manner report to Management team.

• Always observe and uphold resident rights

• Positively supports residents with emotional and behavioral issues

• Assist other staff as needed on the floors

• Assist residents to and from meals, delivering meals to residents’ apartments and helping serve in memory care as necessary.

• Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor

• Must be neat in appearance, pleasant personality, be congenial to fellow team members, residents, families and the public in general.

• Must be capable of using own judgement and initiative in daily duties.

• Demonstrates safe working practices at all times

• Maintains a professional image to residents and fellow co-workers in words, actions and in appearance

• Maintains confidentiality and privacy of our residents and staff at all times

• Relate to residents in a courteous, empathetic, and cooperative manner

• Must be a mature individual. Must possess the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and perform a variety of tasks, often changing assignments on short notice.

• Must have strong organizational skills, as well as the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.

• Must be detail and team-work oriented.

• Must attend required in-services/ workshops to further education of skills and community requirements.

Qualifications:

• Must be able to pass Criminal Background Check, Health Screening including TB test.

• Maintains current first aid certification and food handlers.

• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret diet restrictions

• Ability to prioritize and organize assignments.

• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, verbally and in writing in standard English.

• The employee shall be responsible for maintaining the integrity of Fields Senior Living

Physical Demands and Requirements:

• Maintain ability to lift 50 pounds; to stand or walk throughout the vast majority of the workday; and to frequently push, pull, bend, twist and reach.

• Must be willing to be active and on feet during entire work shift.

• Involves light to heavy physical activity performing non-strenuous and strenuous activities.

• Must have sufficient manual dexterity to work with the fingers and to reach/hand items.
