What success looks likeYou take a set of fabrication drawings, map out bend sequences, select tooling, and program a CNC press brake for a short-run order. You verify bend allowances, measure twice, form once, and deliver parts that meet spec the first time. You’re the partner welders and fabricators rely on to keep high-mix, low-volume projects moving.
Core responsibilities- Set up and operate CNC press brakes to form stainless and other sheet metals
- Read/interpret shop blueprints; confirm dimensions and tolerances
- Perform one-off and short-run setups with precision
- Determine bend sequences and choose appropriate tooling
- Use precision measuring tools (tape measure, calipers, squares, protractors)
- Inspect parts for quality and accuracy; adjust and troubleshoot as needed
- Collaborate with welders, fabricators, and shop teams to meet deadlines
- Keep a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Lift and maneuver up to 50 lbs safely
- Minimum 2 years of press brake experience
- Experience forming stainless steel and general sheet metal
- Confident reading fabrication drawings/blueprints
- Mechanical aptitude, excellent attention to detail, and pride in your work
- Dependable, punctual, and self-motivated
- Valid driver’s license and basic computer skills
- Open to earning forklift, industrial safety, and CPR certifications after hire
- CNC press brake programming and advanced setup
- Custom (non-production) fabrication environments
