Position Summary
Arepet Industries, LLC is seeking dependable Plant Helpers to support operations at our dry sand processing and loadout facility in Von Ormy, TX.

The Plant Helper performs general labor, housekeeping, equipment support, and production assistance throughout the facility. This is a hands-on industrial position that requires employees to work both indoors and outdoors around processing equipment, conveyors, mobile equipment, truck traffic, sand, dust, and noise.

This position is designated as Safety Sensitive and works at an MSHA-regulated facility. Employees are required to follow Company safety procedures and applicable MSHA requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist with daily dry plant production and loadout operations.
• Monitor assigned plant areas and equipment and promptly report unusual conditions, malfunctions, or safety concerns.
• Assist with plant startup, shutdown, and routine production activities as directed.
• Perform general housekeeping throughout the facility, including shoveling sand, sweeping, removing accumulated material and spillage, and keeping walkways and work areas clean.
• Clean hoppers and other designated production areas as assigned.
• Assist with truck loadout activities and traffic movement when needed.
• Assist the Foreman and maintenance personnel with basic maintenance, equipment cleaning, repairs, and other plant tasks.
• Conduct required workplace and equipment inspections for assigned areas.
• Follow established lockout/tagout procedures and safe work practices.
• Properly use and maintain required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Immediately report hazards, injuries, spills, equipment problems, and unsafe conditions.
• Participate in required safety meetings, MSHA training, and cross-training.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned to support safe and efficient plant operations.

Schedule

• 12-hour shifts
• Rotating 4-days-on / 4-days-off schedule
• Schedule includes weekends and holidays based on the rotation
• Overtime may be required based on operational needs
• Regular and reliable attendance is essential

Qualifications

• Previous industrial, construction, manufacturing, mining, or production experience preferred but not required.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Basic mechanical aptitude preferred.
• Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a production team.
• Dependable attendance and punctuality.
• Willingness to perform physically demanding work and housekeeping duties throughout the shift.
• Ability to recognize and promptly report unsafe conditions or equipment concerns.

Physical Requirements
Employees must be able to:

• Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
• Stand and walk for extended periods during a 12-hour shift.
• Frequently bend, stoop, kneel, squat, reach, and climb.
• Safely use stairs and ladders as required.
• Perform repetitive physical work, including shoveling and removing sand and material accumulation.
• Safely wear all required PPE, including respiratory protection when required.

Work Environment
This position works in an active dry sand processing and truck loadout facility. Employees may be exposed to:

• Sand and dust
• High noise levels
• Extreme heat, cold, rain, and changing weather conditions
• Moving mechanical equipment and conveyors
• Heavy equipment and truck traffic
• Uneven walking surfaces
• Vibration
• Elevated work areas

Required PPE may include a hard hat, safety glasses, steel-toe boots, high-visibility clothing, hearing protection, gloves, and respiratory protection.

Safety-Sensitive Position
The Plant Helper position is designated as Safety Sensitive because employees work around conveyors, processing equipment, mobile equipment, truck traffic, electrical systems, and other industrial hazards.

Employees must maintain situational awareness, follow all Company and applicable MSHA safety requirements, and report to work capable of safely performing their assigned responsibilities.
