Early Childhood DC - Assistant Teacher Summer Camp

We are seeking a dedicated Assistant Teacher to join our team, supporting our Teachers and Director in creating a nurturing environment for our children. This role requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the implementation of our educational program, developing positive relationships with children and their parents, and observing and documenting children's progress.

• Help create a positive and engaging learning environment by participating in curriculum activities and encouraging children's involvement.
• Ensure the smooth operation of the classroom by maintaining a clean, organized, and well-stocked environment.
• Maintain open lines of communication with parents through regular informal discussions.
• Model good behavior and promote self-help and good hygiene among children.
• Assist in transitioning children from home to the child care center each day.
• Adhere to all center policies and state regulations at all times.
• Pursue ongoing professional development to enhance skills and contribute to continuous quality improvement.

• Must pass health screening.
• Must clear full background check.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills.
• High energy.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• A strong understanding of child development.
