Little Volunteer Child Care – Belltown is excited to open the doors to our beautiful, state-of-the-art child care center in the growing Belltown community! We are currently seeking passionate, creative, and dedicated Preschool Educators to become part of our founding team.
This is a unique opportunity to help build a positive and engaging classroom environment from day one while preparing young learners for future success through meaningful learning experiences and strong relationships.

Position Summary
Preschool Educators provide a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment where children can develop the academic, social, emotional, and life skills needed for kindergarten readiness and lifelong learning. Educators create engaging, hands-on learning experiences that foster curiosity, creativity, independence, and confidence.

What You'll Do
Responsibilities
- Plan and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate curriculum and activities.
- Prepare children for kindergarten by promoting school readiness skills.
- Foster children's cognitive, language, literacy, math, science, creative arts, physical, and social-emotional development.
- Encourage independence through daily routines and self-help skills.
- Observe and document children's developmental progress.
- Guide children's behavior using positive discipline, redirection, and encouragement.
- Maintain a safe, clean, healthy, and organized classroom environment.
- Supervise indoor and outdoor activities while ensuring children's safety and well-being.
- Accurately document daily activities and communicate with families through Brightwheel.
- Follow all Tennessee Department of Human Services licensing regulations and center policies.
- Collaborate with fellow educators and leadership to provide exceptional care and education.
Requirements
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with preschool-aged children in a licensed child care setting (preferred but not required).
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- CDA, TECTA, Associate's Degree, Bachelor's Degree, or coursework in Early Childhood Education is preferred.
- CPR/First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Ability to pass all required state background checks.
- Must meet Tennessee Department of Human Services licensing requirements.
