Our client is searching for someone who thrives on creative problem-solving and is eager to reimagine how quality electrical products are designed. If you have a strong drive, love the thrill of tackling new challenges, and enjoy building prototypes or enhancing existing designs, you’ll fit right in. As a key member of the technical team, you’ll shape projects from the first concept all the way to manufacturing release. This is your chance to dive into a hands-on engineering role where your ideas and energy truly make an impact!

Why should you apply here?

  • Local firm, 30+ years in business.
  • 250+ staff, 100+ at this location.
  • 100% in-house engineering and manufacturing.
  • High-end clients; future orders in the pipeline.
  • Stable, inflation-resistant niche.
  • Profitable; committed to innovation.
  • Stable executive and engineering team.
  • Flat organizational structure.

What will you be doing?

  • Own digital and analog electrical design with creativity and technical skill.
  • Turn ideas into robust, manufacturable designs through schematic capture.
  • Lead design verification and validation, from board bring-up to troubleshooting and performance tuning.
  • Test designs with HALT and DO-160G to ensure reliability in tough conditions.
  • Produce concise technical documentation, including HALT summaries, test procedures, and product drawings.
  • Own subsystems and tasks, meeting internal, customer, and timeline requirements.
  • Drive engineering improvements with the sustaining team for better manufacturability and robustness.
  • Evaluate new technologies and tools to drive product innovation.
  • Participate in design reviews—presenting work and providing constructive feedback.

What skills/experience do you need?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Mid- or senior-level experience in hardware engineering.
  • Experience in digital (mostly) and some analog circuit design, including work with microcontrollers, processors, and/or DSPs.
  • Experience with symbol/footprint design and schematic capture using OrCAD Capture/Allegro, Altium, or similar tools.
  • Experience with network/Ethernet designs and communication interfaces (e.g., SPI, I2C, UART, etc.).
  • Experience with diagnostic tools (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, etc.)
  • Ability to research, interpret, and apply technical specifications, datasheets, and hardware manuals to electrical designs.

What will make your résumé stand out?

  • Familiarity with FAA and MilSpec requirements.
  • Proficient with FPGA design tools.
  • Experience in Ethernet or electro-optical design.
  • Experience with Xilinx FPGAs and toolset.
  • Familiar with embedded software (C, Assembly, etc.) and hardware/software integration.
  • Experience with RTCA DO-160G or similar environmental/electrical qualification standards.
  • FPGA/ASIC design experience (Xilinx FPGAs & toolset).
