Job Description

Job Description

City Lifestyle is looking for a Sales Enablement Director to serve as the analytical backbone of our sales organization. This person will live in the numbers — tracking performance across Regional Sales Directors, Sales Coaches, and publishers — and translate raw data into clear, actionable insight for leadership. The ideal candidate brings a data analyst's rigor together with real sales or finance floor experience, so they understand not just what the numbers say, but why they're moving.

Responsibilities
  • Builds and maintains recurring reporting on sales performance (conversion rates, pipeline health, rep-level and regional trends, product attach rates like SMM)
  • Identifies what's working and what isn't — surfacing outliers, underperformers, and top performers with the same rigor
  • Partners directly with the VP of Sales to translate data into strategy: coaching priorities, territory adjustments, incentive design
  • Holds a consistent cadence of accountability reporting to RSDs and Sales Coaches — not just producing dashboards, but following up to confirm action is taken
  • Investigates root causes behind performance gaps (confidence issues, pricing hesitancy, lead quality, etc.) rather than just reporting the symptom
  • Builds tools (workbooks, one-pagers, scorecards) that make performance visible and easy to act on
  • Maintains data integrity across CRM and reporting systems; flags and corrects discrepancies proactively
  • Presents findings in leadership and regional meetings in a clear, non-technical way

Success Looks Like:

  • Leadership always has a current, trusted view of sales performance — no guessing, no stale numbers
  • Underperformance patterns are caught early and routed to the right coaching or structural fix
  • Sales leadership trusts this person's numbers enough to make real decisions off them
  • Field reps see this role as a partner in their success, not just an auditor

Requirements
  • 5-7+ years of experience, with a background that includes data/business analyst work AND time in a sales or finance function (not analytics in isolation — needs to understand sales floor dynamics)
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formula-driven models, multi-tab reporting); SQL or BI tool experience a plus
  • High attention to detail and a strong sense of ownership — comfortable being the person who says "this number is off" or "this rep needs support," and following through
  • Ability to work independently with executive-level stakeholders while also engaging respectfully with front-line reps and publishers
  • Strong written and verbal communication — able to turn a spreadsheet into a business case
  • Comfortable in a franchise or decentralized org structure where influence matters more than direct authority over field teams
