Aspen Suites Anchorage Downtown | Anchorage, Alaska

JL Hospitality Management is seeking a motivated and hands-on Food & Beverage Supervisor to join the team at Aspen Suites Anchorage Downtown.

The Food & Beverage Supervisor supports the daily operation of the hotel’s food and beverage department, providing on-the-floor leadership to ensure excellent guest service, quality standards, and an efficient operation. This is a great opportunity for an experienced hospitality professional ready to take the next step into leadership.

What You'll Do

  • Supervise daily food and beverage operations and provide hands-on support during assigned shifts.
  • Lead by example and ensure associates provide friendly, professional, and attentive guest service.
  • Assist with opening and closing procedures and ensure the department is prepared for each shift.
  • Support scheduling and daily staffing needs based on business levels.
  • Train, coach, and provide ongoing guidance to food and beverage associates.
  • Monitor food quality, presentation, cleanliness, and service standards.
  • Assist with ordering, receiving, inventory, and maintaining appropriate product levels.
  • Help monitor waste, portion control, labor, and other operating costs.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, responsible alcohol service, and company standards.
  • Respond to guest concerns and assist with resolving service issues.
  • Support special events, group business, and other food and beverage needs.
  • Communicate operational needs and concerns to hotel management.
  • Foster a positive, professional, and team-oriented work environment.

What We're Looking For

  • Previous food and beverage, restaurant, or hospitality experience required.
  • Previous supervisory or team-lead experience preferred.
  • Strong guest service and communication skills.
  • Ability to lead and motivate associates in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
  • Strong organization and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs.
  • Alaska alcohol service certification or ability to obtain required certification.
