CDL Class A Driver - Local

As a Class A Driver for Kansas City Composting, you will become an integral part in our process of creating rich compost.What You'll Do:Transport materials to various local site locations, retail outlets, and customer addresses. Unloading/loading materials to ensure safety and quality standards are followed.Ensure safe and timely delivery, following dispatch instructions meticulously.Conduct thorough pre-trip inspections, promptly reporting any concerns or issues.Operate tractor trailers, tandems, roll-offs, and/or dump trucks with precision and care.Adhere to state and federal laws, as well as company policies and DOT regulations.Communicate effectively with dispatch and adapt to changing circumstances.Potential for occasional out-of-town work - always home on the weekends.Important things to know:Language Skills: Able to read and understand English.CDL License: Possess a Class A CDL in good standing (all states except California) with a current DOT medical card.Clean Driving Record: No DUIs, no major violations, and no more than a combo of 3 at-fault accidents or violations in the past 3 years.Manual Transmission: Skilled in driving manual transmission trucks (some automatic transmission trucks available).Safety Awareness: Prioritizes safety in all aspects of work.Weekend Availability: Open to working Saturdays. Mostly available during the busy season mid-February to late June.Physical Fitness: Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and standing/sitting for long periods.How you'll be successful:Adaptability: Follows instructions well and adapts to operational changes.Fast-Paced: Thrives in high-volume, fast-paced settings with daily deadlines.Team Player: Ready to help wherever necessary, with a strong work ethic.
