Paraprofessional Needed
Work 1:1 with a Pre-School Student • School Setting
Position Overview
This position involves working one-on-one with a preschool student in a school setting. The paraprofessional will support the child throughout the school day, assist with classroom participation, and accompany the student to therapy sessions as needed.
Key ResponsibilitiesProvide one-on-one support to a preschool student throughout the school day.
Assist the child within the classroom and help maintain engagement in activities.
Accompany the child to therapy sessions including physical, occupational, and speech therapy.
Respond appropriately to medical situations or emergencies if they arise.
Follow guidance from teachers, therapists, and supervisors.
Perform additional paraprofessional duties as needed based on the student’s needs.
High School Diploma or GED
3–6 months experience as a paraprofessional preferred
Training in the use of an Epi-Pen
Ability and willingness to work with medically fragile children in a school environment
Mandated Reporter Certification
Must be fingerprinted, or willing to be fingerprinted, by the Board of Education (fees paid by candidate)
Recent Quantiferon TB test
Pre-employment physical exam
Proof of immunization/titers for MMR, TDAP, and Varicella
$25 money order required for SCR background check form
