Fort Washakie, WyomingJoin Our Team & Make a Meaningful ImpactThe Eastern Shoshone Recovery Program is seeking a compassionate, skilled, and culturally grounded Clinical Behavioral Health Therapist/Counselor – Addictions to join our team. This role provides an opportunity to support individuals, families, and the community through a full continuum of substance use and behavioral health services rooted in both evidence-based practices and culturally relevant healing approaches.Position SummaryUnder the supervision of the Clinical Supervisor, this position delivers comprehensive addiction counseling services, including assessment, treatment planning, individual and group therapy, and care coordination. The ideal candidate is committed to culturally responsive care and values a holistic, strength-based approach to recovery.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide a full continuum of care including:Assessments and diagnostic evaluationsIndividual and group outpatient treatmentIntervention and follow-up servicesReferrals to residential treatment programsMaintain accurate and timely documentation in the Electronic Health Record (EHR)Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and external agencies to coordinate careFacilitate group sessions for adults, youth, and familiesApply strength-based and culturally relevant treatment approaches, including traditional healing practicesRespond to crisis situations in accordance with agency policies and safety protocolsUphold professional and ethical standards, including adherence to NAADAC and/or other applicable codes of ethicsRequired QualificationsState of Wyoming licensure/certification in addiction counseling OR equivalent national certificationDegree in a related field (AA, BA, BS, MA, or MSW)Knowledge of:ASAM placement criteriaDSM-5 diagnostic standardsEvidence-based treatment and relapse prevention models12-step philosophy and other therapeutic approachesUnderstanding of culturally responsive care, particularly Native American healing practices such as the Red RoadStrong group facilitation and interpersonal skillsKnowledge of HIPAA and confidentiality regulationsProficiency with computers and electronic documentation systemsAbility to work effectively within a multidisciplinary teamAdditional RequirementsValid driver's license with a good driving recordNo felony or DUI convictions within the past 3 yearsAbility to pass a background checkFirst Aid and CPR certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days)Commitment to a recovery-oriented lifestyle (abstaining from alcohol and drug use while employed)What We OfferMeaningful work that directly impacts community wellnessSupportive, team-oriented environmentOpportunities for professional growth and continuing educationIntegration of cultural values and traditional healing practicesHow to ApplyAPPLICATION REQUIREMENTS:Submit a completed application with supporting documents via the online portal.For more information contact Kellie Webb, Executive Director, via email at [email protected] will be given to qualified Eastern Shoshone tribal members, then other qualified federally recognized Indian tribal members and then other qualified candidates.Applicants must submit a copy of Tribal Enrollment card or CIB for Indian Preference.Veterans who meet the minimum qualifications and provide documentation of an honorable discharge (DD214) from any branch of military service are entitled to receive preference points during the interview process.Any offer of employment is contingent upon a negative drug test, reference checks and background check.
