Job Description
Makpar has an exciting opportunity for a Desktop Imaging, IT Specialist - Test Lab SME to join our growing team. In this role, you will bring hands-on Windows desktop imaging and configuration validation experience to our client's test lab, planning, designing, and executing hardware and software validation testing to ensure endpoint imaging, application compatibility, and infrastructure changes are ready for production deployment. This position is fully onsite five days a week in Covington, KY, , and accepts candidates based in the Cincinnati, OH area as well.
Role Specific Duties:- Plan, design, and execute comprehensive hardware and software validation testing across enterprise environments, including endpoint imaging, application compatibility, patch and release validation, and infrastructure changes.
- Document test results and identify defects, tracking them through resolution.
- Support the automation of test processes to improve efficiency and repeatability.
- Ensure compliance with configuration and security standards throughout the testing lifecycle.
- Collaborate with engineering and support teams to validate readiness for production deployment.
- Provide recommendations and feedback to engineering and support teams to improve test coverage, deployment readiness, and overall test lab processes.
- 5-8+ years of experience in an enterprise IT test lab or endpoint validation environment.
- Hands-on experience with Windows desktop imaging.
- Demonstrated expertise in designing and executing structured hardware/software testing across multiple platforms.
- Experience with configuration validation, documenting test results, identifying defects, and validating deployments.
- Experience supporting test automation and ensuring alignment with configuration, security, and release standards.
