Clinical Manager ( Chesapeake Specialty Care)
Job Description
The Clinical Manager oversees and supports daily clinical operations. This role is responsible for supervising clinical staff, optimizing workflows, and ensuring high-quality patient care. The Clinical Manager is strong leader who can collaborate effectively with providers and administrative teams while maintaining efficient and compliant clinical processes.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Supervise, train, and mentor Medical Assistants and clinical staff
- Oversee onboarding, orientation, and ongoing performance development of clinical employees
- Manage hiring processes and conduct annual performance evaluations for clinical team members
- Monitor attendance, approve timecard adjustments, and manage PTO and overtime usage
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate daily workloads; provide clinical support as needed
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in healthcare or related field preferred
- 3–5 years of clinical leadership or supervisory experience preferred
- Experience working in a medical office or clinical setting required
- Familiarity with EMR systems (eClinicalWorks preferred)
- Understanding of healthcare regulations, workflows, and best practices
Total Rewards
The referenced base salary range represents the low and high end of Chesapeake Specialty Care salary range for this position. Some candidates will not be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. Exact salary will ultimately depend on multiple factors, which may include the successful candidate's geographic location, skills, work experience, market conditions, internal equity, responsibility factor and span of control, education/training and other qualifications.
