Data Entry Specialist
Job Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented Data Entry Specialist to support a high-volume documentation project in Queensbury, New York. This project-based temporary position will focus on accurately uploading and organizing medical records within a controlled software environment that requires careful attention to detail. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with sensitive information, can learn new systems quickly, and takes pride in maintaining data integrity across a large volume of records.
Responsibilities:
• Upload a high volume of medical PDF documents into the designated patient safety platform with a strong focus on accuracy and completeness.
• Review each record and match document details to the appropriate entities in the system, including hospitals, providers, and authorized procedures.
• Verify that enrollment, training, and authorization materials are linked correctly so records remain organized and audit-ready.
• Examine medical documents for key information before entry to ensure data is associated with the proper category and system element.
• Maintain consistent quality standards while processing a large number of files in a regulated and controlled environment.
• Identify unclear or incomplete information promptly and seek clarification to avoid processing errors.
• Collaborate with internal team members across functions to keep the project moving efficiently and accurately.
• Use standard business software and internal tools to support document tracking, data entry, and reporting needs.
• At least 2 years of experience in data entry, including high-volume document processing.• High school diploma required; additional college coursework is preferred.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and the ability to interpret information found in clinical or healthcare-related documents.
• Experience working in a regulated, quality-sensitive, or audit-focused environment is strongly preferred.
• Ability to learn new software applications quickly and use them effectively with limited training.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and other common computer applications.
• Strong attention to detail, solid organizational skills, and a commitment to accurate data handling.
• Ability to communicate clearly, ask questions when instructions are unclear, and work effectively with cross-functional teams.
