Job Title: HR Specialist (Temporary)Job Description

The HR Specialist will provide temporary support for day-to-day HRIS administration and employee data management activities. This role focuses on maintaining accurate employee records, processing personnel changes across the employee lifecycle, supporting onboarding and offboarding transactions, and generating HR reports for leadership and business partners. The position is ideal for someone with hands-on HRIS experience who enjoys high-volume data entry, system configuration support, and partnering closely with HR team members in a growing, employee-owned business environment.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain and update employee records within the HRIS system to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
  • Process employee data changes, including status updates, transfers, promotions, and terminations.
  • Support onboarding activities by entering new hire information, verifying completeness, and ensuring data accuracy in the HRIS.
  • Manage termination profiles and complete all related employee record updates in a timely manner.
  • Assist with HRIS module setup and configuration, providing ongoing administrative support for system enhancements and implementations.
  • Generate, analyze, and distribute HR reports for leadership and business partners using HR system reporting tools.
  • Perform high-volume data entry while maintaining a high level of accuracy, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
  • Audit employee data on a regular basis, identify discrepancies, and resolve issues to maintain clean and reliable HR records.
  • Partner with HR team members to support ongoing HR operations, projects, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support employee lifecycle transactions from hiring through termination, ensuring all steps are accurately documented in the HRIS.
  • Contribute to a collaborative and supportive HR environment by providing responsive administrative and HRIS support.
Essential Skills
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in HR, HRIS, or Human Resources Specialist roles.
  • Hands-on experience working within an HRIS platform, with Dayforce experience strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in HR systems, including data entry, HR administration, and HR support functions.
  • Strong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy in high-volume environments.
  • Experience processing employee lifecycle transactions, including hiring, onboarding, status changes, and terminations.
  • Proficiency in reporting and data extraction within HR systems.
  • Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information with discretion.
  • Solid administrative support capabilities within human resources and employee relations contexts.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience supporting HRIS implementations, including module setup, configuration, or system enhancements.
  • Advanced reporting capabilities within HR systems, including building and customizing HR reports.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced corporate or manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with HR team members and business partners.
  • Comfort working with employee relations matters in an administrative and data-focused capacity.

The role operates in a professional, fast-paced corporate or manufacturing environment with a strong emphasis on collaboration and employee ownership. The business is growing and celebrates its employee-owned culture, including an annual week-long celebration in October. Team members typically enjoy team lunches about once a week, fostering a friendly and supportive atmosphere. Leadership is described as understanding and kind, contributing to a positive and approachable HR culture. The position follows an 8-hour workday with a flexible start time between 7:30 AM and 8:30 AM. The team also observes a casual work environment on Fridays, allowing more relaxed attire at the end of the week, while maintaining professional standards during the rest of the week.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of New Berlin, WI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $32.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
