The role will focus on validating inventory records, analyzing variances, and helping maintain strong controls across warehouse and accounting activities.

Responsibilities:

• Partner with accounting, warehouse, operations, purchasing, and supply chain teams to address discrepancies and improve inventory visibility.
• Prepare reconciliation schedules, adjustment support, and related documentation for reporting, audit, and review purposes.
• Monitor unusual inventory movement trends and escalate exceptions that may indicate process breakdowns or control concerns.
• Contribute to the development and refinement of inventory control procedures, including documentation standards and tracking practices.
• Assist with inventory-related accounting activities such as journal entry support, general ledger tie-outs, and annual inventory reporting.• 5+ years of experience in inventory accounting, inventory control, staff accounting, warehouse accounting support, or a closely related field.
• Demonstrated ability to perform physical inventory counts, annual inventory reviews, and detailed reconciliations with a high degree of accuracy.
• Strong analytical skills with experience identifying discrepancies, researching variances, and recommending corrective action.
• Proficiency in Excel, including working with large data sets, reconciliations, variance analysis, and reporting.
• Hands-on experience with journal entries, general ledger activity, and inventory-related accounting processes.
• Familiarity with inventory audits, cycle counts, inventory controls, and warehouse inventory tracking practices.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate findings clearly to operational and accounting stakeholders.
• Experience with ERP or inventory management systems such as Oracle, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, or comparable platforms is preferred.
