Harbinger Motors is looking for a Battery Test Technician to join their growing team! REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience in automotive, EV, battery testing, diagnostics, or related technical field.
- Strong understanding of vehicle systems including powertrain, electrical systems, and chassis components.
- Ability to develop and execute test plans and procedures.
- Experience using data acquisition and analysis tools.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work onsite and in various testing environments.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Job Description
The Battery Test Technician will be responsible for developing and executing test plans for battery systems, vehicle components, and related EV technologies. This role involves instrumenting vehicles, conducting testing in controlled and real-world environments, analyzing performance data, and documenting findings to support product development and validation efforts. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, technically driven, and passionate about advancing electric vehicle technology.
- Develop and execute test plans for battery systems and vehicle components.
- Select and install appropriate instrumentation and data acquisition equipment.
- Ensure vehicles and test assets are properly instrumented prior to testing activities.
- Conduct vehicle testing on test tracks, public roads, and controlled environments.
- Collect, monitor, and validate test data to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Analyze test results to identify performance issues, defects, and root causes.
- Document test results, findings, and recommendations in Jira.
- Collaborate with engineering, design, development, and manufacturing teams to resolve issues.
- Support the development and implementation of testing methodologies and standards.
- Maintain and calibrate testing equipment to ensure reliability and accuracy.
- Follow safety protocols while working with high-voltage battery systems and electric vehicles.
- Stay current on vehicle testing technologies, battery advancements, and industry trends.
- Other duties as assigned.

This is a Contract-to-Hire position based out of Garden Grove, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
