Job Title: A&P Mechanic – Corporate Falcon Aircraft

Job Description

This role focuses on performing maintenance and inspections on corporate Falcon aircraft based at Morristown Airport. You will handle scheduled maintenance, post-flight checks, and troubleshooting of airframe, engines, and components to ensure safe and reliable operation of the fleet. The position is best suited for experienced A&P mechanics who live within driving distance of the facility and have strong Falcon jet maintenance experience.

Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled maintenance on Falcon corporate aircraft in accordance with approved maintenance manuals and procedures.
  • Conduct detailed aircraft post-flight inspections to identify and address any discrepancies or maintenance needs.
  • Troubleshoot airframe, engine, and aircraft systems to diagnose issues and determine appropriate corrective actions.
  • Perform avionics troubleshooting to resolve system faults and ensure proper operation of onboard electronic systems.
  • Interpret and apply technical data from maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and regulatory documentation.
  • Complete maintenance tasks efficiently while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and compliance.
  • Document all maintenance activities accurately in accordance with regulatory and company requirements.
  • Collaborate with other maintenance personnel to coordinate work, share technical knowledge, and support aircraft availability.
  • Ensure proper use of tools, equipment, and protective gear while maintaining a clean and organized work area.
  • Support ongoing aircraft reliability by proactively identifying potential issues and recommending preventative maintenance actions.

Essential Skills

  • Active Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) License.
  • Minimum of 5 years of aircraft maintenance experience working on corporate jets or regional aircraft.
  • Demonstrated experience performing maintenance on Falcon aircraft; Falcon jet experience is required.
  • Strong aircraft maintenance experience with the ability to perform both routine and complex tasks.
  • Proven troubleshooting skills for airframe, engine, and aircraft components.
  • Ability to understand, interpret, and follow aircraft maintenance manuals and technical documentation.
  • Experience with avionics troubleshooting on corporate or regional aircraft.
  • Capability to work on-site at Morristown Airport and commute within driving distance of the facility.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience working on corporate aircraft in a hangar environment.
  • Comfort working on Falcon jet platforms and familiarity with their specific systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a maintenance team.
  • Effective communication skills for coordinating work and reporting technical findings.
  • Willingness to adapt to evolving shift schedules after initial onboarding period.

Work Environment

The position is based indoors in a hangar at Morristown Airport, working directly on corporate Falcon aircraft. The standard schedule is first shift, Monday through Friday, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. After a few months, the schedule may transition to a four-day, 10-hour shift. The environment involves hands-on work with aircraft systems, tools, and equipment in a professional maintenance setting. Typical attire includes a T-shirt, work pants, and steel-toe boots, suitable for an active hangar environment.

This is a Permanent position based out of Morristown, NJ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $110000.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
