Machine Operator - $20.25/hr

Job Description:

Join our team as a Machine Operator where you will work the mid shift from 12:00pm-8:00pm Monday through Friday.

Training will be provided on the first shift from 7:00am to 3:00pm for three weeks in Cuyahoga Falls before transitioning to the Twinsburg location.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate oxy-fuel cutting equipment to process steel materials.
  • Review work orders, read blueprints, and verify the correct material is loaded for production.
  • Access production programs through the computer system and select the appropriate machine settings and consumables.
  • Perform machine setups and changeovers, including changing torch components and preparing equipment for different jobs.
  • Conduct test runs and first-piece inspections using a tape measure to verify dimensions meet specifications.
  • Operate plasma and oxy-fuel cutting tables throughout the shift.
  • Monitor machine performance and product quality while maintaining production standards.
  • Utilize an overhead crane to load, unload, and move steel materials (training provided).
  • Follow work instructions, blueprints, and dimensional drawings to ensure accurate production.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.

Essential Skills:

  • Experience operating a machine in steel manufacturing.
  • Ability to read and interpret a tape measure.
  • Experience operating a forklift.
  • Ability to read blueprints.
  • Ability to train on first shift and in Cuyahoga Falls.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with grinding, plasma table, oxy fuel, and plasma operations.
  • Proficiency in following work instructions.

Work in a large, industrial steel warehouse where temperatures vary with the seasons—hot in summer and cold in winter. The environment requires wearing hard hats, steel toe boots, and provided gloves and hearing protection.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.25 - $20.25/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
